Julie grew up in western North Dakota.
She graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN
with double majors in Public School Music and Speech
Communication Theatre Art. She received her Master’s
Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Mankato State
University in 1998 and her Specialists Degree in Curriculum
and Instruction from Minnesota State University, Mankato
in 2004.
Over the course of her 23-year teaching career, Julie
taught classroom/vocal music at every grade level in
four different school districts. She was also actively
involved in the teacher’s association serving
as Building Representative, Negotiator, Teacher’s
Rights Chair, and Vice President. As a member of many
committees, she created policies and procedures and
trained teacher leaders.
Julie became a Long Term Care Insurance Specialist in
September 2010. She now serves districts in the north
and west metro area. Julie has a real desire to share
with clients the value of having a sound financial plan
for their extended health and care needs.
Julie and her husband, Dean, live in Maple Grove. Outside
of work, she enjoys biking, decorating, digital photography,
growing indoor plants, and traveling.
