Nancy Haigh grew up in Loves Park (Rockford), Illinois. She graduated from MacMurray College with majors in Elementary and Special Education. Her Masters Degree in Library Science is from Northern Illinois University.

As a Learning Disabilities teacher, Nancy worked with K-12 students in Galesburg, Illinois. She then moved to Des Moines to work as the librarian for the Iowa Utilities Board. Four years later Nancy moved to the State Library of Iowa. There she served first as the Head of Public Services, then as the Network Administrator, managing computers and training users.

Since 2000 Nancy has refocused her teaching skills to show others the basics of building a secure financial future. Her priority with Educators Financial Services is to provide financial education and advice to educators and their families, helping them reach their financial goals. Her specialized area of expertise is Long Term Care Insurance and its role as a critical component of a complete retirement plan.

From West Des Moines, Nancy and her husband Bill assisted Iowa State Education Association members in over half of the school districts in Iowa. In July 2010, Bill and Nancy moved to Fairmont, MN where they will now assist Education Minnesota members and their families. Nancy will be assisting members with their Long Term Care needs throughout Southern Minnesota and Northwestern Iowa. When not visiting with members, she enjoys traveling, baking, crafts, movies, music, theatre, walking, and teaching.

Nancy is very excited to be able to continue working through Educators Financial Services, the Education Minnesota ESI sponsored financial services program. She is happy to be part of the Education Minnesota ESI family.
